Redmi may drop the K100 Pro Max for a new Q11X flagship. The device could launch as K100 Ultra or POCO F9 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. Stay tuned.

The Redmi K100 series may launch with unexpected changes. Insiders say Redmi is considering dropping the K100 Pro Max, a model that had repeatedly surfaced in previous leaks. Instead, a completely new device with the internal codename Q11X is reportedly in development.

Earlier sources had claimed the upcoming K100 Pro Max was codenamed Q11U, following the pattern set by the K90 Pro Max with its P11U index. But insider Experience More now reports that the Q11U project may never have existed in a final form, and that Q11X will take its place. This has led to speculation that Redmi is completely rethinking its flagship lineup and might abandon the Pro Max suffix. It remains unclear whether the device will launch as the Redmi K100 Ultra or under an entirely new name.

Preliminary information suggests the Q11X smartphone is already being tested with early builds of HyperOS 3 adapted for a 2nm architecture. That indirectly points to the use of the future Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor. There are also reports that on the global market, the device could appear under the name POCO F9 Ultra. Redmi has not officially confirmed any changes to the K100 lineup, so these leaks should be treated with caution.
