Honor officially announces the Robot Phone launch in Q3 2026. The smartphone features a 4DoF gimbal camera and ARRI partnership for professional videography.

Honor has made it official: its unusual Robot Phone will launch in the third quarter of 2026, between July and September. The smartphone, previously the subject of rumors, had already been tipped for that window, and the company has now effectively confirmed the timeline.

The confirmation came during the Cannes China Night event, where Honor showcased the Robot Phone to attendees and demonstrated its mobile camera capabilities. The device's standout feature is a 4DoF gimbal for the camera, designed to deliver smoother footage and enhance video recording performance.

Honor also noted that the Robot Phone will be the first model to leverage its partnership with ARRI, announced in March. That collaboration aims to sharpen the company’s focus on professional mobile videography and push video quality to a higher level.

Honor describes the Robot Phone as the next chapter in mobile cinema and AI-powered devices. Most technical specifications remain under wraps, but the company has promised to share more details soon. Judging by its positioning, the new model could become one of the most distinctive smartphones of 2026.
