Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders have appeared at Italian retailer Showgame for €69.90, far below expectations. Release set for November 19, 2026. First female protagonist Lucia features in Vice City.

Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI have unexpectedly appeared in Europe ahead of the full launch, and the initial price tag is significantly lower than what analysts and fans had anticipated. Italian retailer Showgame has begun accepting orders for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions, listing the game at €69.90 for each platform.

That price caught gamers off guard, as many major console releases in recent years have cost more—often €79.99. Given that Rockstar and Take-Two's new title was expected to be one of the generation's most expensive games, seeing GTA 6 at a more accessible price is a surprise.

However, digital storefronts, including the PlayStation Store, have not yet opened pre-orders. This makes the situation somewhat ambiguous: Showgame may have simply activated the listing early or misinterpreted the publisher's release timeline. Still, the appearance of pre-order pages suggests other retailers could be gearing up to start sales soon.

The product page lists a delivery date of November 19, 2026. That aligns with the timeframe previously confirmed by Take-Two's CEO, who indicated no further delays are expected. For fans, this is a meaningful signal: after years of waiting, the GTA 6 release is starting to look more concrete.

Grand Theft Auto VI is the first full new entry in the series since GTA 5, which launched back in 2013. The game is set in Vice City—a fictional version of Miami—and its surrounding areas, offering more diverse locations. The story centers on Lucia Caminos and her partner Jason Duval, with Lucia becoming the first female protagonist in the main GTA series.
