Lisuan Tech's LX 7G100 gaming GPU racks up 30,000 pre-orders in 48 hours, generating over $14.5 million in revenue, despite performance on par with RTX 3060.
Chinese startup Lisuan Tech has turned heads with its gaming GPU, the LX 7G100, racking up over 30,000 pre-orders in just 48 hours despite mixed test results. The strong demand shows that consumer interest isn't solely driven by raw performance. Priced at around $485 in China, the card could have generated over $14.5 million in pre-order revenue. Lisuan hasn't disclosed production costs, but for a new entrant, this is a significant achievement.
The success has propelled Lisuan to sixth place among GPU manufacturers on JD.com, one of China's largest electronics retailers. While it still lags behind established names like ASUS, Colorful, GIGABYTE, and MSI, the high pre-order count signals growing appetite for local upstarts.
Lisuan originally positioned the LX 7G100 as a rival to Nvidia's GeForce RTX 4060. However, early reviews and benchmark results suggest its performance is closer to the RTX 3060. Yet its price tag is comparable to the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB—a fact that hasn't dampened sales.
A limited Founders Edition also stirred interest. Only 1,000 units were produced, each individually numbered and signed by co-founder and co-CEO Xuan Yifang. The first batch sold out almost instantly, with a second batch slated for June 18. Lisuan isn't stopping there: on the same date, it plans to launch two additional models—the LX Pro for professional engineering and the LX Ultra for cloud computing. A content creator-focused LX Max is also in the works, though its release date remains under wraps.
Lisuan Tech was founded in 2021 by Xuan Yifang, Kong Dehai, and Niu Yixin—all Silicon Valley returnees who previously worked at S3 Graphics. In just a few years, the startup has brought its own gaming GPU to market and captured widespread attention, even without headline-grabbing performance.
