Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports iOS 27 will bring a completely redesigned Siri, major AI features, and customizable camera app, marking one of Apple's most important updates.
Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman reported on X about the first renders of the upcoming iOS 27 and revealed key update directions. According to him, Apple is preparing not just another version of its mobile system, but a notable overhaul of the interface and features related to artificial intelligence.
The main change is expected to be a completely redesigned Siri. Apple has been trying to strengthen its voice assistant for years amid competition from modern AI services, and iOS 27, based on Gurman’s leak, could be the company’s important attempt to bring Siri back to the center of the user experience. The assistant is anticipated to get a new look and deeper integration with iPhone system capabilities.
Beyond Siri, iOS 27 will introduce major AI features. Details are still scarce, but Gurman’s wording points to updates that could affect everyday scenarios: working with text, images, apps, and system suggestions. This is particularly important for Apple, as users expect a more substantial response to the generative AI advancements from Google, Samsung, and OpenAI.
A separate emphasis is put on improved photo editing. Apple will likely expand image processing tools and add more intelligent capabilities for automatic retouching, detail correction, and creative editing. These features could become some of the most anticipated innovations, since the camera remains one of the main reasons people buy new iPhones.
Another noticeable change concerns the Camera app. According to Gurman, Apple is preparing a more customizable interface aimed at professional users. This could mean more manual control, flexible layout of controls, and easier access to shooting parameters that were previously hidden or required third-party apps.
For now, this is a leak rather than an official announcement, so the final set of iOS 27 features may still change. But if Mark Gurman’s information is confirmed, the next major iPhone update could be one of the most important for Apple in recent years: the company will try to simultaneously revamp Siri, strengthen AI tools, and make the camera more attractive to advanced users.
