Samsung's One UI 9 for Galaxy S26 now includes unified call logs from third-party apps like Google Meet and WhatsApp, simplifying call history management. Users can disable integration in settings.
Samsung has begun testing One UI 9 for the Galaxy S26 series. Although major visual overhauls are scarce in this build, one handy new feature has already surfaced. The stock Phone app can now log not just regular calls but also those from third-party services.
The feature is based on a new Android 17 capability that underpins One UI 9. By integrating third-party call logs, Galaxy users can see audio and video calls from supported apps in one place. Early tests show it works with Google Meet and WhatsApp, but Telegram hasn't added support yet.
By default, the unified call log is enabled automatically. After updating, compatible third-party calls will appear directly in Samsung’s dialer. For many users, this simplifies finding missed conversations: no more opening separate messengers to remember who called and when.
However, Samsung has left users in control. In the Phone app’s settings, you can disable third-party call integration entirely or select specific apps whose calls should appear in the unified log. That’s useful for anyone who prefers to keep regular calls separate from messenger ones.
Google showed a similar capability several months ago with the first beta of Android 17. As the new OS spreads, more calling apps are expected to join in. For Galaxy owners, it’s a small but practical change: One UI 9 makes call history more complete and convenient without extra setup.
