Xiaomi is ending software updates for several Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO devices as HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 rolls out. See the full list of affected series.
Xiaomi is winding down support for a batch of its devices ahead of HyperOS 3, the next version of its in-house interface based on Android 16. The update will bypass several Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO families, including once-popular models from previous years.
The cutoff covers the Xiaomi 11 line, 12 Lite, Mi Mix Fold, Pad 5, and Civi, as well as POCO’s C, M, and X series, plus the POCO F4. Within Redmi’s catalog, the A2 and 12 series are affected, along with the Note 12 and Note 13 lines.
While a beta build of HyperOS 3 is already available for flagships such as the Xiaomi 15, owners of the listed series should expect their devices to remain on their current software. It’s a familiar moment in the Android world: as the platform advances, older lineups quietly step out of the update cycle.
