The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE has been spotted in a live image, revealing a new raised camera island that looks oddly placed. Learn about design and expected specs.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE has surfaced in a live image for the first time ahead of its official launch. The phone was spotted in the WPC database under model number SM-S741. Based on the photo, the design remains close to the main Galaxy S26 series, but with one notable change.
The biggest difference between the Galaxy S26 FE and last year's Galaxy S25 FE, as far as the image shows, is the new camera module. Samsung appears to have brought the raised camera island to the Fan Edition, similar to the design used on recent flagship and foldable Galaxy Z Fold devices.
However, on the Galaxy S26 FE, the placement of the module looks a bit questionable. It sits too close to the top and side edges of the body, making the design seem less balanced than on other Samsung phones with a similar camera bump. This detail gives the smartphone a slightly more unusual—and even a little odd—appearance.
The Fan Edition lineup still has an ambiguous role in Samsung's catalog: these devices should be more affordable than flagships, but retain some of their features. Based on early information, the Galaxy S26 FE will continue this strategy, with a design that nods to the higher-end models but without a radical body overhaul.
Not much is known about the specs yet. According to a recent leak, the phone could feature an Exynos 2500 chip, 8GB of RAM, and ship with Android 17. The official announcement of the Galaxy S26 FE is expected closer to August or September, so more details about the cameras, display, battery, and price will likely emerge in the coming weeks.
