According to beta testers, the upcoming version will introduce AI-driven elements while making the interface more dynamic and more personal.
One addition will let users adjust the interface’s accent colors to match the wallpaper on their phone, creating a cohesive look across the handset and the car’s display. Code in recent builds also hints at future AI tools that could help drivers manage routes, notifications, and content. That kind of visual and functional consistency should make the system feel less piecemeal and more put together.
Google isn’t sharing a firm launch window yet, but the release is expected before the end of the year. The new version will likely arrive with a noticeable redesign and extra features now being tested through the Android Auto Beta 15.4 program.
