Apple showed iOS 27 at WWDC 2026, but reports say Siri integrations, a new Watch face and Camera controls may still be coming.
Apple has already shown the main new features of iOS 27 at WWDC 2026, putting the spotlight on Siri AI and better system stability. But according to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, the company has not revealed everything yet. Some features are still in development and may appear closer to Apple’s fall announcements.
The first one is tied to Apple Watch. Apple is reportedly preparing a simpler version of the Modular Ultra watch face, which is currently associated with Apple Watch Ultra. The new version should keep the large clock but look less crowded, dropping the second row of complications and some of the visual density. It will most likely be shown alongside new Apple Watch models in the fall.
The second, and much more important, feature is about Siri. Rumor has it that Apple wants to let third-party AI services integrate directly with the assistant through the Extensions API. Right now, ChatGPT support exists thanks to a separate partnership between Apple and OpenAI, but the new model should be more universal: in theory, other major players, including Google and Anthropic, could join as well.
That approach would be noticeably different from today’s ChatGPT integration. If Apple really opens Siri to third-party apps through extensions, this would no longer be a special deal with one partner, but a more standard way to connect external services. At the same time, privacy guarantees could also change: responsibility for handling requests would depend more heavily on the specific third-party service.
According to Gurman, Apple has already discussed the new mechanism with OpenAI, Anthropic and Google, but has not presented it publicly yet. Possible reasons for the delay include legal and political risks in Europe, Apple’s desire not to distract from its own Siri AI, and an effort to avoid confusion around partnerships with several companies at once.
The third feature is a more flexible Camera app setup. Users were expected to get the ability to move controls around in iOS 27, but the option was missing from the first developer beta. Other changes, including Siri integration inside the camera, have already appeared.
It looks like Apple may be saving some of these features for the fall launch of new iPhones and Apple Watch models. That would help make the September releases feel more substantial, even though the core iOS 27 features have already been shown at WWDC.
