DJI has introduced the Osmo Pocket 4P in China with two camera modules, 4K/240fps slow motion, D-Log2 support and pricing from 3799 yuan.
DJI has officially launched the Osmo Pocket 4P in China, a new pocket-sized stabilized camera aimed at bloggers, short-video creators and independent videographers. The model arrives a month after its global showcase at the Cannes Film Festival and becomes the most ambitious camera in the Pocket line.
The main highlight of the Osmo Pocket 4P is its dual-camera system. The primary module uses a 1-inch sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and a 20 mm equivalent focal length. The second camera has a 1/1.28-inch sensor, an f/1.8 lens and a 60 mm focal length, enabling 3x optical zoom and 12x digital zoom. This setup lets creators jump quickly from wide shots to tighter framing without changing optics.
On the video side, the new model looks far more serious than a typical pocket camera. DJI claims 4K recording at up to 60 frames per second in standard mode and 4K/240fps for slow motion. It also supports 10-bit D-Log2, giving footage more flexibility for color grading and semi-professional workflows.
According to the company, the main sensor delivers up to 17 stops of dynamic range. For photos, resolution goes up to 37 MP, and a panorama mode is included. The camera also has a 2-inch rotating display with 1000-nit peak brightness, which should make outdoor shooting easier in bright sunlight.
Inside the 230 g body are three built-in microphones, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth LE 5.4 and 103 GB of internal storage. Storage can be expanded with a microSD card of up to 1 TB. The 1545 mAh battery charges to 80% in 18 minutes, while a full charge takes about 32 minutes.
The Osmo Pocket 4P comes in Classic Black and Pearl White. In China, the standard kit costs 3799 yuan, or about $525, while the Vlog Kit is priced at 4299 yuan, or around $635. Its main rival will be the Insta360 Luna Ultra, and the competition has already moved beyond the market itself: DJI and Insta360 have filed patent lawsuits against each other. In the United States, Osmo Pocket 4P sales remain impossible for now because of DJI's status on the FCC Covered List.
