GTA VI: new footage shows Vice City at sunset

Rockstar updated the GTA VI page with an 8-second look at Vice City, giving fans another reason to study every detail before pre-orders open.

Rockstar Games did not show a third GTA VI trailer alongside the announcement of the pre-order date, but it still updated the game page with a short video. Users on Reddit noticed that, together with the official cover art, the site now features an 8-second clip with a new view of Vice City.

The city is shown at sunset: the horizon is washed in pink light, there is movement in the docks, boats sit in the harbor, helicopters fly overhead, and a Ferris wheel glows on the far shore. Even in such a brief fragment, Rockstar manages to show how dense the world is with small details, so the clip quickly became a talking point among fans.

Players who have been waiting for fresh GTA VI material began studying the video almost frame by frame. One of the first discoveries was the Ferris wheel: users noticed that, unlike nearby buildings, it does not appear reflected in the water. The community suggests this may hint at limits in the game’s reflection system or ray tracing.

The interest is also fueled by the fact that Rockstar has not shown GTA VI in a full new trailer for more than a year. After the second trailer, fans have been left to follow rare website updates, official materials, and small finds like this short clip.

In GTA VI, players will control Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a criminal couple trying to make easy money before getting pulled into a much larger conspiracy. Judging by the description, the only way out will be for them to stick together.

GTA VI is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, while pre-orders begin on June 25. Expectations remain huge: Piper Sandler analysts believe the game could sell up to 46 million copies on launch day.
