A new leak points to a redesigned Bose headset with TrueSpatial, USB-C lossless audio and six colors.
Bose is reportedly preparing the second generation of its full-size QuietComfort headphones. According to Dealabs, the official announcement and pre-orders could begin on August 7, 2026, with sales allegedly starting on August 13. The original QuietComfort model launched in September 2023 as a more affordable alternative to the QuietComfort Ultra.
The Bose QuietComfort 2nd Gen may get a noticeably redesigned body. The company is expected to change the shape of the ear cushions, widen the adjustable headband and use more synthetic leather. Physical controls may also move directly onto the earcups for simpler operation.
One of the biggest additions could be Bose TrueSpatial, designed to create a more spacious and natural sound. The headphones may also support lossless audio over USB-C, while the first generation used the port only for charging. Immersion and Cinema Mode are also expected, and active noise cancellation may finally be fully switchable.
Bose is also said to be improving ActiveSense so it can better soften sudden noises in transparency mode. Call quality should benefit from more accurate background-noise suppression. Battery life is expected to remain unchanged at up to 24 hours with ANC and up to 18 hours with TrueSpatial.
In Europe, the Bose QuietComfort 2nd Gen may cost €349.95, while the US price is expected to be $359. Six launch colors are rumored: black, smoke white, lilac, eucalyptus, mint and walnut gray. Bose has not officially confirmed the specifications or release date.
