Samsung's latest ad pits Galaxy Z Fold 7 against iPhone 16 Pro Max, showcasing stand mode and split-screen streaming amid 2026 Apple foldable rumors.

Samsung isn’t letting Apple forget its absence from the foldables game. In a new ad, the iPhone 16 Pro Max plays the role of the foil, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 once again takes center stage. The tone is playful but pointed, and the comparison doesn’t bother with subtlety.

The spot features actors Dylan Efron and Jake Shane. In the setup, Shane struggles to prop his iPhone 16 Pro Max upright, stacking whatever’s at hand. Right beside him, Efron casually flips the Galaxy Z Fold 7 into a stand-like position, sets it down, and streams two videos at once — one on each half of the display.

This is the second entry in Samsung’s string of ads pitting its foldable against “regular” iPhones. The first leaned into multitasking; this time, the focus is on how the Z Fold 7’s form factor doubles as a convenient stand.

Apple still hasn’t released a foldable phone, though rumors point to 2026 as a possibility. Samsung, meanwhile, has built up experience in the category: the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is thinner, lighter, and more polished, a combination that helps reinforce the company’s lead in flexible devices.
