Honor Magic 8 debuts with MagicOS 10 AI, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 6.58-inch display, 50MP triple camera, 7000 mAh battery with 90W/80W charging, plus China pricing.
At HGDC 2025, Honor unveiled the Magic 8 in its standard edition. The handset arrives with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and the new MagicOS 10, which brings an expanded set of AI-focused tools.
Built on the MCP architecture, MagicOS 10 allows the YOYO assistant to automatically handle a broad range of tasks—from hunting for discounts to drafting reports and analyzing nutrition. The system also integrates with Alipay for payments and bookings, can tie into Apple’s ecosystem, and swaps files with any Android smartphones and PCs. This cross-ecosystem flexibility hints at a push to make daily routines less siloed.
The device features a 6.58-inch display with 1.5K resolution, record-thin 1.18 mm bezels, and peak brightness up to 3,500 nits. The main camera, styled as a “space square,” packs three modules: a 50 MP primary with optical stabilization, a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 64 MP periscope offering 3x optical zoom with OIS. On paper, this trio covers most everyday shooting needs, from wide scenes to stabilized zoom.
Power comes from a 7,000 mAh battery with 90 W wired and 80 W wireless charging. The phone also includes a proprietary power management system, stereo speakers, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, NFC, and an IR port. Taken together, the battery-and-charging combo looks tailored to heavy use without constant top-ups.
In China, the Honor Magic 8 is priced at 4,499 yuan for 12/256 GB, 4,799 yuan for 12/512 GB, 4,999 yuan for 16/512 GB, and 5,499 yuan for 16 GB/1 TB, giving buyers clear options by memory and storage.
