Galaxy A73 begins One UI 8.0 rollout on Android 16, its final major update. Build A736BXXUAGYJ1 lands in India, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam.
The week opened with welcome news for Galaxy A73 owners: the rollout of One UI 8.0 based on Android 16 has begun. The firmware brings a set of new features and refinements, yet it also marks the final major update for this 2022 model—a fitting capstone to a device that had a solid run.
The build numbered A736BXXUAGYJ1 is already available in India, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The package weighs over 2.5 GB and includes the September security patch. It’s recommended to download over Wi‑Fi; installation then proceeds in the usual way through the Settings menu.
The Galaxy A73 launched on Android 12 and moved up through Android 13, 14, and 15. One UI 8.0 is the last stop: no further OS upgrades are planned, though Samsung will continue to deliver security patches and bug fixes. That won’t add new headline features, but it should keep the phone stable and dependable for everyday use.
