Discover Huawei’s Router X3 Pro: a cylindrical, glowing router that doubles as decor, with mesh support, Wi‑Fi 7, NearLink, and smart home hub features.

Huawei has unveiled the Router X3 Pro, a device that breaks from what we usually expect from Wi‑Fi gear. At first glance it could pass for a decorative object — the design is that unconventional.

The chassis is a cylinder with a transparent top housing a structure reminiscent of a snow‑capped mountain, softly lit from within. The glow makes it feel less like networking hardware and more like a miniature light installation with a sunset mood.

Huawei’s designers clearly intend the X3 Pro to sit in plain sight rather than hide behind a cabinet. Promo images show white and red lighting; it’s still unclear whether users will be able to choose the hue or if the unit will arrive in different versions.

The router is also set to work in a mesh configuration, paired with a matching range extender in the same aesthetic. That approach expands coverage without laying new cables.

Although Huawei hasn’t shared the full technical details yet, expectations include Wi‑Fi 7 support, a built‑in NearLink gateway, and the ability to serve as the central hub of Huawei’s smart home, tying together smartphones, tablets, TVs, and other ecosystem devices on a single network.

Overall, the Router X3 Pro reads less like a conventional router and more like a new kind of home gadget — one that marries utility with design.
