realme GT8 packs Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a 2K 144 Hz display, 7,000 mAh with 100 W charging, and a Ricoh GR camera. Plus IP69-rated durability. From 2,899 yuan.
realme has unveiled the GT8, which it positions as the most powerful mainstream flagship. The phone pairs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Ultimate processor with a 2K 144 Hz display, a 7,000 mAh battery supporting 100 W charging, and a camera system developed together with Ricoh GR. Prices start at 2,899 yuan for the 12/256 GB version.
The device comes in white, blue, and green. The finish combines glass and vegan leather with a paper-like texture. The body is about 8.2 mm thick and rated IP69, IP68, and IP66 for dust and water resistance, and it includes an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The mix suggests a push for both style and durability rather than a single headline feature.
The main camera setup includes a 50 MP primary module with optical stabilization, a 50 MP periscope telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8 MP ultrawide. Thanks to the Ricoh collaboration, the phone offers a GR mode with 28 mm and 40 mm focal lengths, plus five film-style profiles—from high-contrast black and white to the classic color Ricoh Blue. It reads as a nod to enthusiasts who favor street-style framing and in-camera looks.
There’s also a dedicated R1 gaming chip, an advanced cooling system, a 144 Hz panel, and the latest LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 memory standards. Configurations reach up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage. Altogether, the spec sheet aims squarely at power users who want speed without compromise.
