Audi updates the myAudi app with ChatGPT assistance, EV charging planning, a smarter digital key, Plug & Charge payments, and broader global availability.
Audi has introduced an updated myAudi app, turning it into a comprehensive digital command center for the car. With a smartphone, drivers can lock, unlock and start the vehicle, and even interact with it thanks to built-in artificial intelligence.
The headline addition is the integration of ChatGPT directly into the system. Drivers can ask the car practical questions—such as why a particular warning light is on—and receive answers drawn from the onboard manual without having to search the web. The experience shifts from digging through menus to getting help in plain language, which is exactly where in-car software has often fallen short.
For owners of Audi e-tron models, the app steps up as a capable electric-driving companion. It shows the current state of charge, helps plan routes with charging stops in mind, manages charging schedules, and can automatically bring the battery to an optimal temperature ahead of a fast-charging session. Taken together, these tools aim to reduce the small frictions that add up on longer trips.
The app also brings together the functions of a digital key, navigation, Plug & Charge payments, and personalized recommendations via a built-in marketplace. Audi says the goal of the update is to make interaction with the car as intuitive as using a smartphone. The direction is clear: consolidate everyday tasks in one place and remove extra steps.
The updated myAudi is already available in the App Store and Google Play in more than 50 countries, with further rollouts coming soon to new markets including Brazil, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
