Leaks point to the Xiaomi 17 Air: a super-slim 6.6-inch flagship with a 200MP main camera, eSIM, and a cold-engraved flat chassis, launching in spring 2026.

Xiaomi may expand its flagship roster with an ultra-thin model dubbed Xiaomi 17 Air, which is currently under evaluation. The well-known tipster SmartPikachu says the device is set to feature a 200‑megapixel main camera, eSIM support, and a body engineered for minimal thickness.

According to his information, the newcomer is expected to carry a 6.6‑inch display with rounded corners and use a unified cold‑engraving process to create a seamless, visually flat chassis. This approach is meant to deliver record‑setting lightness and thinness, building on a trend set by the iPhone Air and the forthcoming Huawei Mate 70 Air.

While technical specifics remain under wraps, the 17 Air is positioned as a lighter alternative to the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max introduced in late September. Judging by current price tiers, the model would likely slot between the standard Xiaomi 17 and the top variants of the series.

The insider suggests the phone could debut in 2026, potentially in spring. The move signals Xiaomi’s continued experiments with design and form factor, aiming to blend premium features with an ultra‑slim build while keeping photo and video quality at the forefront—an appealing promise that will ultimately be measured by how well the execution holds up in daily use.
