Bigme HiBreak S is a 5.84-inch E Ink smartphone on Android 14 with 4G, 6/128 GB, dual SIM and full phone apps. Eye-friendly, efficient, with prices from $249.

Bigme has unveiled the HiBreak S, a smartphone that doubles as an e-reader thanks to its E Ink screen. The device is offered in monochrome and color versions and carries a 5.84-inch display with a matte finish and a front light adjustable across 36 brightness steps. E Ink is gentle on the eyes and highly power-efficient, though animations won’t look as smooth as on traditional LCD panels.

Running Android 14 with Google Play, the phone supports two SIM cards and 4G LTE. It comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, expandable up to 1 TB via microSD. A 3,300 mAh battery is designed to get through a full day. The HiBreak S also includes a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera—useful for document scanning and text recognition.

What sets it apart from the Palma 2 Pro (BOOX) is that it preserves the full experience of a modern phone, including voice calls, messengers, and access to standard apps. The price underlines the pitch: $249 for the monochrome version and $279 for the color model.

Taken together, the HiBreak S looks like a solid pick for anyone after an eye-friendly, energy-saving E Ink smartphone that still behaves like a real phone—without the markup of premium devices.
