Samsung will split Galaxy S26 chips between Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Exynos 2600, with Qualcomm supplying about 75%. What this cautious mix means for you.

In 2026, Samsung will once again split its flagship bets between two processors: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Exynos 2600. Yet Qualcomm is set to retain about 75% of the chip supply for the Galaxy S26 lineup, leaving only a quarter of devices to Samsung’s in-house Exynos. The split says a lot about internal confidence: Samsung is treading carefully, testing the market rather than risking the standing of its flagships.

According to a Qualcomm conference call held in early November, the company said it always assumes a 75% share for any new Galaxy device.

Chances are this hybrid setup—75% Qualcomm and 25% Exynos—will become the new baseline. For buyers, most Galaxy S26 phones will feature the time‑tested Snapdragon, while the rest will quietly gauge how far the Exynos 2600 has come. It looks like a measured balance between novelty and prudence, and it’s hardly accidental that Qualcomm once again sets the pace.
