Infinix has introduced the GT 30, a smartphone aimed squarely at gamers. The company leans on a high‑refresh display, a capable processor, and a dedicated cooling setup, saying the mix is meant to deliver a console‑level feel.

Gaming without the heat

At the core is an eight‑core MediaTek Dimensity 7400. According to the company, it can sustain up to 120 frames per second in popular titles such as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Free Fire. In PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty Mobile, performance is pegged at 90 FPS. A 5,500 mAh battery is designed for long play sessions, while 45 W fast charging helps it bounce back quickly. The targets look ambitious yet in line with the phone’s positioning.

Display and cooling

The handset uses a 6.78‑inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches 4,500 nits, keeping the screen readable even under direct sun. There’s a blue‑light eye protection feature, and the device is rated IP64 for resistance to dust and water.

For more precise control in games, the phone includes mechanical shoulder triggers, while RGB lighting—managed by AI—adds visual flair. On paper, the package looks cohesive; as always, real‑world tuning will determine how much the cooling helps under sustained load.

Cameras and memory

The main camera is 64 MP, complemented by an 8 MP ultra‑wide and a 13 MP selfie camera. RAM can be expanded up to 16 GB using internal storage—now a common trick on modern Android devices. It’s a practical compromise, though the benefit depends on the task at hand.
