iPhone 18 Air leak: Apple's thinnest phone with 6.5-inch 120Hz display, dual 48MP cameras and Face ID. Lightweight build, slim bezels, refined design for 2026.
A new leak has surfaced with early details about the forthcoming iPhone 18 Air. Rather than chasing a revolution, Apple appears to be refining what already works. The new handset is expected to be the thinnest in the range, keeping a familiar aesthetic with a lighter chassis and slimmer bezels.
According to insiders, the device will feature a 6.5-inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. That would put the iPhone 18 Air on par with the Pro models for interface smoothness while staying more attainable and lighter. Face ID is staying put—Apple isn’t about to drop a signature feature.
The headline upgrade is a dual camera with two 48-megapixel sensors: a main and an ultra-wide. A telephoto module isn’t expected for now, which is a mild letdown. Still, Apple tends to lean on powerful computational processing to close the gap, relying more on software than brute-force hardware.
The “Air” idea returns to center stage: maximum lightness, minimal excess. That formula once turned the MacBook Air into the company’s most recognizable notebook, and now it seems the iPhone’s turn has come. If Apple keeps pricing in check, the iPhone 18 Air could be the standout of 2026—not for flashy breakthroughs, but for polish and attention to detail. Sometimes Apple’s most effective move is the quiet one.
