HyperOS 3 on Android 15: Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO devices in testing

Xiaomi is gearing up to roll out HyperOS 3, its new Android 15–based skin. Fresh internal tests show the software is already under review on at least a dozen devices spanning Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO—and even a tablet from the Pad lineup.

Positioned as the biggest update since the move away from MIUI, HyperOS 3 promises a reworked design, better performance, and tighter integration across devices. For many smartphones, it will likely be the last major update before they miss out on Android 16.

According to the company’s internal logs, testing of Android 15 with HyperOS 3 is underway on the Redmi Note 13 5G, Note 13R Pro, and POCO X6 Neo, which already have builds OS3.0.0.4 for China and OS3.0.0.2 for global and European regions. Also in verification are the POCO F5 Pro and Redmi K60 with versions OS3.0.0.4 and OS3.0.0.1, while European devices such as the Xiaomi 13 Lite and Civi 2 carry build OS3.0.0.1. Beyond these, trials include the Xiaomi 12T Pro and Redmi K50 Ultra, as well as the flagship trio Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12, and Xiaomi 12S Ultra. On the Chinese market, updates are being tested for the Redmi K60 Pro, Redmi Note 12T Pro, MIX Fold 2, Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro, and Civi 3.

Right now, the Redmi Note 13 5G is leading the pace of testing and, insiders suggest, could become the first smartphone outside China to receive Android 15 with HyperOS 3. At the same time, popular models including the Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro, POCO F5, POCO M6 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Turbo, and Xiaomi 12T haven’t appeared in test builds—potentially indicating no update is planned, which aligns with Xiaomi’s policy of capping most mid-range devices at two major Android versions. Judging by the lineup, the testing pool cuts across budget and flagship tiers, yet leaves some fan favorites on the sidelines.
