DJI’s plans to roll out a new vlogging camera, the Osmo Pocket 4, surfaced ahead of schedule. Well-known insider Hakasushi indicated that the fourth generation of the popular Osmo Pocket line is set for December 2025, placing the debut 26 months after the previous model and hinting at a release with some weight behind it.
Sources say the Osmo Pocket 4 will arrive with a redesigned body that’s slightly taller to accommodate two additional physical controls. The camera may use an OmniVision OV50R40 CMOS sensor with a 50MP resolution and a 1/1.3-inch optical format, with HDR support on board.
Earlier reports suggested it could become the first in the series to feature Hasselblad image tuning, a move expected to push video quality forward. This fall, images of prototypes without a display and camera module surfaced, a sign that the device is entering its final run-up to release.
While DJI has yet to make anything official, leaks point to an announcement shortly after global sales kick off for the Osmo Action 6 and DJI Neo 2. If that timeline holds, December could bring a cluster of major launches for the company, with the new Osmo Pocket shaping up as the standout upgrade for video creators in the past two years.
