Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) applies to all information posted on the Internet at pepelac.news (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”) that users may provide about themselves while using the Website, its services, including the “Pepelac News” mobile application installed on users’ mobile devices. By using the Website’s services, the User fully and unconditionally agrees to this Policy and the terms of processing their personal information described herein; if the User disagrees with these terms, they must refrain from using all services of the Website.

1. General Provisions

1.1. For the purposes of this Policy, the User’s personal information refers to:

1.1.1. Personal information that the User provides about themselves when using the Website’s services. All information is provided at the User’s discretion.

1.1.2. The Website Administration does not verify the accuracy of personal information provided by users and does not monitor its relevance. All risks of providing false information are borne by the User.

1.1.3. Data automatically transmitted to the Website’s services during their use via the software installed on the User’s device, including IP address, cookie data, browser information (or other software used to access the services), technical characteristics of hardware and software used by the User, date and time of access, addresses of requested pages, and other similar information.

1.1.4. Other information about the User.

1.1.5. This Privacy Policy applies only to pepelac.news. The Website does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites to which the User may navigate via links available on pepelac.news, including via the Mobile App, nor for the actions of advertisers in advertising blocks on the Website.

2. Purposes of Processing Users’ Personal Information

2.1. The Website collects and stores only the personal information necessary to provide services or fulfill agreements and contracts with the User.

2.2. The Website may process the User’s personal information for the following purposes:

2.2.1. Identifying the User registered on the Website to enable the use of all available Website services.

2.2.2. Providing the User with access to personalized Website resources.

2.2.3. Establishing feedback with the User, including sending notifications, requests related to the use of the Website, the provision of services, processing requests and inquiries from the User.

2.2.4. Improving the quality, usability, and development of new services and features, including the Mobile App.

2.2.5. Conducting advertising activities.

2.2.6. Conducting statistical and other research based on anonymized data.

2.3. The device IDs of Website and app users are collected and used for tracking purposes.

3. Conditions for Processing and Sharing Users’ Personal Information

3.1. The Website stores Users’ personal information in accordance with the internal regulations of specific services.

3.2. The confidentiality of the User’s personal information is maintained, except in cases where the User voluntarily provides information about themselves for public access to an unlimited number of people.

3.3. The Website does not transfer the User’s personal information to third parties, except where necessary to protect the rights and legitimate interests of the Website Administration or third parties when the User violates the Terms of Use of the Website.

3.4. In the event of loss or disclosure of personal data, the Website Administration notifies the User about the loss or disclosure.

3.5. The Website Administration takes necessary organizational and technical measures to protect the User’s personal information from unauthorized or accidental access, destruction, alteration, blocking, copying, distribution, as well as from other unlawful actions by third parties.

3.6. The Website Administration, together with the User, takes all necessary measures to prevent losses or other negative consequences caused by the loss or disclosure of the User’s personal data.

4. Obligations of the Parties

4.1. The User shall:

4.1.1. Provide personal data necessary to use the Website’s services listed in clause 1.4 of the “Agreement on the Use of Website Materials.”

4.1.2. Update, supplement, or delete the provided personal data in case of changes.

4.2. The Website Administration shall:

4.2.1. Use the obtained information solely for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy.

4.2.2. Keep confidential information secret, not disclose it without the User’s prior written consent, and not sell, exchange, publish, or otherwise disclose the User’s personal data, except as provided for in this Privacy Policy.

4.2.3. Take precautions to protect the confidentiality of the User’s personal data according to procedures generally used to protect such information in existing business practices.

4.2.4. Block personal data relating to the relevant User from the moment of request by the User or their legal representative, or an authorized body for the protection of personal data subjects, during verification in case of detection of inaccurate personal data or unlawful actions.

5. Liability of the Parties

5.1. The Website Administration, which has not fulfilled its obligations, is not liable for losses incurred by the User due to the unlawful use of personal data.

5.2. This Privacy Policy and the relationship between the User and the Website Administration are governed by the current legislation of the Russian Federation.

6. Additional Terms

6.1. The Website Administration reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy without the User’s consent.

6.2. The new Privacy Policy becomes effective upon its publication on the Website unless otherwise stated in the new edition of the Privacy Policy. Continued use of the Website by the User, including the Mobile App, signifies acceptance of the changes made to this Policy.
