Rokid and Bolon unveil BOLON AI smart glasses: price and specs

Rokid, together with Bolon, has officially unveiled the BOLON AI Smart Glasses, with prices starting at 2,199 yuan. The lineup includes sunglasses, optical, and photochromic versions, offered in black or gray. Pricing is set at 2,199 yuan for the sunglasses and optical models and 2,599 yuan for the photochromic option.

The company notes that its previous Leqi Glasses turned into a sales hit, reaching 40,000 units in five days. The model topped rankings on Tmall, JD, and Douyin, and has been used more than 15 million times. Average daily wear reportedly sits at around eight hours, a sign the format is already fitting smoothly into daily routines.

According to Rokid’s data, 70% of users are young professionals aged 26–45, mostly from IT, and 81% actively create content related to the products. The company framed the launch of its AI-powered smart glasses as opening the iPhone era for AR devices.

The glasses support control via QQ Music, along with navigation, video viewing, reading books, and even car control. In partnership with Ant Insurance and ZhongAn Insurance, Rokid introduced Rokid Care, described as the world’s first insurance for AR glasses, covering breakage and water ingress.

BOLON AI is equipped with a Qualcomm AR1 + NXP RT600 chip, a 12 MP Sony IMX681 camera (F/2.25, HDR, night mode), a 210 mAh battery, and a four-directional microphone with noise reduction. Battery life is rated at up to 24 hours on standby, five hours of talk time, six hours of music playback, and 45 minutes of video recording.

The frame features a titanium hinge rated for up to 20,000 bends and flexible temples. The weight is about 38.5 g without lenses. GenS lenses come in amber brown, graphite green, and classic gray.

The glasses support four large AI models, including DeepSeek and Alibaba Tongyi Qianwen, and offer personalized settings. Controls are handled via physical buttons, a straightforward choice that should make everyday use more predictable.
