OnePlus is gearing up to launch the high-performance Ace 6T and has officially confirmed that the device will be the first smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. For now, the model is slated for the Chinese market, but there’s a strong chance it will later go global as the OnePlus 15R — a hint to that effect surfaced during the OnePlus 15 presentation.
OnePlus president Louis Li said on Weibo that the Ace 6T is planned for a November debut, though he stopped short of giving an exact date. The spotlight is clearly on Qualcomm’s new flagship processor, about which details remain scarce. According to leaks, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 could outperform the Snapdragon 8 Elite used in last generation’s top-tier phones, including the OnePlus 13.
Company promo materials point to a sizable battery — early leaks mentioned 8,000 mAh. OnePlus is also teasing a display with a 165 Hz refresh rate, a meaningful step up from the standard Ace 6. Taken together — a cutting-edge chip paired with a big battery — the Ace 6T looks positioned above the regular Ace 6.
While the Ace line typically stays regional, OnePlus often repackages these models for international release under different names. With the company’s hints in mind, the Ace 6T could indeed arrive globally as the OnePlus 15R, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the upcoming launch.
