Redmi K90 Ultra leaks point to 8000 mAh battery, Dimensity 9500+, 165 Hz display

After launching the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro Max, the company is lining up a third model—the Redmi K90 Ultra—which is gradually coming into focus thanks to new leaks. Early reports point to clear differences from the Pro Max, including a fresh processor and a bigger battery.

Insiders say the Redmi K90 Ultra is set to use MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500+, an updated take on the Dimensity 9500 that is slated to debut in the first half of 2026. That choice positions the phone as the more performance-minded option in the family without going head-to-head with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 device.

The phone is rumored to feature a 6.8-inch LTPS OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 165 Hz refresh rate. The design reportedly includes rounded corners, a metal frame, an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint scanner, and water resistance. One of the main talking points is the battery: its capacity is estimated at nearly 8,000 mAh. If the spec holds, that kind of pack could reset expectations for battery life in this lineup.

Against the backdrop of the expected global launch of the POCO F8 Pro and POCO F8 Ultra on November 26, it is not ruled out that the Redmi K90 Ultra could later serve as the foundation for the POCO F8. The idea tracks, given the similar class of hardware and Xiaomi’s established habit of rebranding.

These are all the details for now, but the direction is already visible: the K90 Ultra aims to be the most enduring—and likely the most distinctive—member of the series.
