Samsung is preparing a sweeping refresh of its premium lineup for 2026, and leaked model numbers already sketch out a fairly clear picture of what to expect. The company looks set to push ahead with two flagship pillars: the classic Galaxy S line and the foldable Galaxy Z family.
The upcoming Galaxy S26 series will reportedly consist of three devices: a standard model, a larger option, and the top-tier Ultra. Judging by the labels, this trio is positioned as the successor to the current generation. Notably absent from the list is the Edge variant that had been rumored earlier. That omission seems logical: the form factor has not met expectations, and the manufacturer is likely stepping away from it.
Samsung’s foldable roster is also due for several additions. The database mentions new Z Flip models, including an FE version, alongside the next generation of the larger Z Fold. Taken together, this suggests the company will keep backing two flavors of foldables: more attainable vertical clamshells and flagship tablet-style phones. The split looks pragmatic, balancing reach with ambition.
There is no reference, however, to a second-generation phone with a triple-folding mechanism. The absence of a model number does not amount to a cancellation. The first such device has yet to go on sale, so Samsung may lock in the details later, especially since the debut of the original is slated for the end of the year. In that context, the quiet around a follow-up is hardly surprising.
If the timeline holds, the Galaxy S26 lineup will be the brand’s first new flagship to arrive, with an official unveiling expected in January 2026. Should the plan stay on track, Samsung will open the year with its marquee range, and the foldables will follow after.
