Conflicting rumors about the battery capacity of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra keep multiplying. Earlier, insiders couldn’t settle on whether the model would gain any headroom over the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which sticks to a conventional 5,000 mAh battery. Now a fresh leak from China maintains that the pack will, in fact, be larger.
According to the source, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is set to carry a 5,200 mAh cell. The increase may look minor on paper, but after several Ultra generations capped at 5,000 mAh, any movement is noteworthy—and, if accurate, suggests Samsung is nudging endurance rather than pursuing a radical shift.
That claim, however, runs counter to an August Chinese certification listing a 4,855 mAh rated capacity (with the same 5,000 mAh typical value). With signals this mixed, it’s premature to draw firm conclusions; more evidence will be needed to pin down the real number.
