Xiaomi has officially brought its portable Sound Pocket speaker to Europe and the UK. Previously introduced in China, the model has already picked up a Red Dot Design Award for its compact form factor and considered look. It’s designed for everyday carry, easy transport and a stable wireless connection.
The speaker weighs about 200 grams and measures 90.8 × 74.4 × 42.6 mm—roughly the size of a small drink bottle. The glossy shell is paired with a sturdy rubber lanyard for grab-and-go use, and the unit can sit vertically or lie horizontally. With IP67 protection against dust, rain and splashes, it feels purpose-built for the beach, poolside or an active day out.
Inside sits a 5-watt driver with an enlarged diaphragm area and a dedicated acoustic chamber. A built-in low-frequency module helps deliver deeper bass, while Xiaomi’s algorithms automatically adjust frequencies and volume to keep the sound even, even at lower listening levels. Thanks to the reinforced bass extension, Sound Pocket reaches frequencies that most speakers of this size struggle to hit—on paper, a clear focus on bass presence without losing balance.
Connectivity relies on Bluetooth 5.4 with a range of up to 25 meters. Two units can be paired in TWS stereo, with one handling the left channel and the other the right for fuller spatial sound. There’s also a built-in microphone for calls, which makes quick hands-free chats straightforward.
Battery life is rated at up to 10 hours at 40% volume. Power comes from a 1000 mAh cell, and a full charge takes around three hours—sensible figures that set the right expectations.
Xiaomi offers Sound Pocket in black, pink and blue-gray, with the black version featuring a bright orange accent. In Germany the speaker is priced at 24.99 euros, while in the UK it costs 14.99 pounds. At launch, reduced prices apply: 14.99 euros and 12.99 pounds respectively, which makes the entry especially tempting for anyone curious about a pocketable Bluetooth speaker.
