Samsung unveils world’s first Micro RGB TV at IFA 2025

At IFA 2025, Samsung unveiled the world’s first TV built on Micro RGB technology. A new, microscopic RGB backlight paired with local dimming delivers ultra-precise, strikingly lifelike color. An AI engine with frame-by-frame calibration controls each LED, drawing out bright, vivid tones with surgical accuracy.

Micro RGB is certified by VDE for color accuracy and meets the BT.2020 standard with 100% Wide Color Gamut coverage. UL’s Glare Free technology minimizes reflections even in bright rooms or under direct sunlight, while preserving deep blacks and crisp contrast.

Samsung positions Micro RGB as the next step after LED, QLED, and Neo QLED, promising a wholesale shift in picture-quality standards. Framed this way, the launch feels less like a routine update and more like an attempt to redraw the benchmark.
