Sony has decided to remind everyone that wired headphones aren’t a relic of the past. In India, the company has introduced the budget-friendly IER-EX15C with a USB-C plug, positioned as a convenient alternative to fully wireless sets. Despite the popularity of TWS earbuds, wires still have real perks: no charging, true plug-and-play, and a stable, lag-free connection.
The IER-EX15C features 5 mm dynamic drivers that deliver rich bass and clear vocals. For added convenience, Sony includes an inline remote so you can adjust volume, skip tracks, take calls, and use the built-in mic. The cable is designed to resist tangling, and the box includes three sizes of ear tips plus a cable length adjuster.
Design hasn’t been overlooked either: these lightweight, compact earbuds come in four colors—white, black, blue, and pink. A straightforward pick for everyday listening without the hassle of keeping a battery topped up.
In India, the headphones are priced at 2,490 rupees (about $30), but are currently discounted to 1,990 rupees ($24). They’re available through Sony’s own stores, Amazon India, and official electronics retailers. Alongside them, Sony also showed the new premium Inzone H9 II gaming headphones, built on WH-1000XM6 drivers.
With this, Sony covers both ends of the spectrum: the IER-EX15C for those seeking an affordable, practical option, and the Inzone H9 II for gamers. A neat way to keep wired loyalists and high-end players equally in view.
