Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Redmi 15 5G in Malaysia, positioning it as a feature-packed device with several standout specifications. The smartphone’s highlight is its 6.9-inch Full HD+ display, supporting an impressive 144Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. It also comes with Wet Touch 2.0 technology, allowing users to operate the screen even with wet hands.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, paired with a substantial 7,000mAh battery. The phone supports 33W fast charging and 18W reverse charging, making it both long-lasting and versatile for powering other devices.
On the software side, the Redmi 15 5G runs Android 15 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.0 interface. It includes AI-powered features like Circle to Search, AI Eraser, AI Sky, and Dynamic Shots. The camera system features a 50MP main sensor alongside two auxiliary lenses, while the front houses an 8MP selfie camera. Additional practical touches include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP64 dust and water resistance, RAM expansion up to 16GB, and microSD storage support up to 2TB. Audio is also a strong point, with Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos compatibility.
In Malaysia, the phone will be available in an 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration, priced at 729 MYR (around $170). Color options include Ripple Green, Titan Gray, and Midnight Black. Sales will be conducted via Xiaomi’s official website and retail outlets.
