iQOO 15 India launch: specs, features, price and release date

After an October debut in China, iQOO has officially launched its new flagship iQOO 15 in India. The phone is aimed at users who prioritize top-tier performance and advanced gaming features.

The iQOO 15 mirrors the Chinese model’s design: a matte, fingerprint-resistant back, a square camera housing with Halo Light illumination, and a robust body rated for IP68 and IP69 protection.

Up front is a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 8T LTPO AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and a record 6,000 nits of peak brightness. The panel supports a 1 Hz always-on mode, has an anti-glare layer, improved touch response with wet fingers, and touch sampling up to 3,200 Hz. Together, these specs point to a screen built for fluid gameplay and clear visibility in tough lighting.

Under the hood sits the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with LPDDR5X RAM (up to 16 GB) and UFS 4.1 storage (up to 512 GB). Power comes from a 7,000 mAh battery with 100 W fast charging and 40 W wireless charging. On paper, that combination reads like a no-compromise spec sheet for speed and stamina.

Cooling is handled by an 8,000 mm² vapor chamber. There are stereo speakers, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, an IR blaster, Bluetooth 6.0, and Wi‑Fi 7. The phone runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6, and the company promises five years of OS updates and seven years of security patches—an update pledge that signals a push for longevity.

The triple camera system includes a 50 MP Sony IMX921 main sensor (1/1.56-inch) with optical stabilization, a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 50 MP periscope Sony IMX882 (1/1.95-inch) offering 3x optical zoom. The front camera is 32 MP. The uniform 50 MP lineup suggests an emphasis on consistency across focal lengths.

The base version with 12/256 GB is priced at 72,999 rupees, while the top 16/512 GB model costs 79,999 rupees. Sales begin on December 1, 2025.
