Sennheiser has broadened its premium audio lineup with the HDB 630 wireless headphones, a high-resolution model aimed at listeners who care as much about studio-grade power as they do about versatile connectivity. The design nods to the Momentum 4 series, while a reworked acoustic system sharpens imaging and teases out finer detail.
At its core is the company’s 42 mm dynamic driver, built at Sennheiser’s factory in Ireland. It’s paired with an acoustic processing setup that delivers clear mids, expressive vocals, and quick response. The company says the tuning comes very close to what you hear in mastering studios.
The HDB 630 handle high-resolution playback over USB-C or an analog jack, and wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.2 with the aptX Adaptive codec. A USB Type-C transmitter is included; it adds aptX Adaptive support to devices that don’t have it by default, notably broadening compatibility.
Sound customization gets special attention: the new Smart Control Plus app brings pro-level tools. A Crossfeed mode, inspired by the legendary HE 1 system, is designed to create a more natural, speaker-like soundstage. The upgraded parametric EQ lets you fine-tune specific frequencies, choose filter types, and compare presets in A/B fashion. All settings are saved to the headphones themselves, keeping your sound consistent across devices and apps. Sennheiser also plans to add preset sharing via QR code. It’s the kind of control power users tend to value. Beyond audio shaping, you can adjust active noise cancellation, automatic wear detection, and preferred codecs.
The model ships with a two-year warranty and is priced at $499.95.
