Edifier Airpulse A60 desktop speakers: specs, price, and features

Edifier has unveiled the Airpulse A60 desktop speaker system, a compact pair of bookshelf Bluetooth speakers built for high-quality near-field listening. The model is already on sale across major online platforms and comes in two finishes: matte white or a walnut-style wood look.

The cabinets are made from MDF and lined with 18 mm acoustic foam, a choice aimed at reducing standing waves and tightening overall clarity. Each speaker uses a planar tweeter that operates up to 40 kHz with an integrated voice coil to keep distortion low. Mid and low frequencies are handled by a 3.5-inch aluminum driver with a 30 mm coil, a long-throw design, and a ferrite magnet, housed in a die-cast aluminum frame to curb vibrations. On paper, the hardware points to a focused, clean presentation at close range.

Amplification is provided by two Texas Instruments TAS5754M Class D digital amplifiers that accept input signals up to 192 kHz. The system also includes two TI DSP processors to manage the crossover, volume balance, and dynamic processing, plus a PCM9211 ADC supporting 24-bit and 216 kHz. A Savitech USB controller enables Hi-Res audio playback over USB, which makes the A60 just as comfortable on a desk as next to a laptop.

Connectivity covers the essentials: AUX, USB, optical input, and Bluetooth 5.1 built on a Qualcomm chipset with aptX and aptX HD support. There is also a subwoofer output for those who want extra low-end reach, a practical touch for compact rooms.

Power output is rated at 30 W for the midrange driver and 10 W for the tweeter. The claimed frequency response spans 52 Hz to 20 kHz, and the signal-to-noise ratio is at least 90 dB. The package includes a clear speaker cable and a remote control for switching inputs and adjusting volume, keeping everyday use straightforward.

The Airpulse A60 is priced at 1,980 yuan, about 280 US dollars, for the walnut-style finish, and 2,280 yuan, about 322 US dollars, for the white version.
