DOOGEE V Max LR launched: rugged smartphone with a laser rangefinder

DOOGEE has officially launched the V Max LR worldwide, the latest device in the rugged V Max series that debuted in 2023. Framed as another flagship for professionals, travelers, and people who work in demanding conditions, it pairs a reinforced build with strong performance and a built-in laser rangefinder, putting it among the most capable mobile measuring tools.

The body takes cues from a fighter jet and comes in Armor Black and Battle Rust. An aluminum-alloy back, reinforced edges, textured panels, and fully sealed ports help the phone shrug off shocks, dust, mud, and heavy rain. It reads like a device designed for real work, not just spec-sheet bravado.

The headline feature is an integrated laser measurement system that calculates length, area, and volume at distances from 0.08 to 40 meters. Stated accuracy is ±3–15 mm, a level that should suit builders, surveyors, and anyone planning interiors or open spaces.

For after-dark tasks, two 1,200-lumen camping flashlights offer five brightness levels plus steady, flashing, and SOS modes. They light up areas up to 8 meters away and provide a practical backup when there is no other source of light.

A 20,500 mAh battery underpins multi-day endurance. Even at −10 °C, the phone can play video for up to 15 hours, and at −20 °C it still handles calls. There is 45 W fast charging and 10 W reverse charging for topping up other devices—a setup clearly aimed at long shifts and cold environments.

Performance is handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300, while software runs on Android 15 with integrated Gemini AI features. Connectivity includes Wi‑Fi 6E and NFC, and a 6.78-inch FHD+ 120 Hz display is tuned for good legibility in bright sunlight.

The camera system combines a 200 MP main module, a 20 MP night-vision sensor with IR illumination, an 8 MP ultrawide, and a 32 MP selfie camera. The mix is built for shooting in all kinds of scenarios, including total darkness and rugged landscapes.

Rated to IP68/IP69K, the V Max LR is specified to withstand temperatures from −20 °C to 55 °C. That makes it a reliable tool for geologists, builders, hikers, and rescue teams. The smartphone is already available on DOOGEE’s official website and through certified retailers.
