SenseRobot Chess at IFA 2025: AI home robot for lessons, analysis, and play

Unveiled at IFA 2025, SenseRobot Chess bills itself as the world’s first home chess robot built for learning, analysis, and head-to-head play with a human. The device uses a BB-controlled mechanical arm with a claw and can break down positions, explain strategies, and replay the games of masters—an approach that neatly blends tuition with hands-on experience.

SenseRobot Chess offers three modes: AI-led chess lessons, a guided dive into 100 classic games with explanations, and 145 endgame tasks for practice. Players can face a virtual opponent rated up to 2900 ELO, try the “Apex Duel,” or play online on lichess. With that range, it feels tuned for both first steps and more demanding training.

Beyond chess, the company also showed versions of the robot for Chinese chess (xiangqi) and go. SenseRobot Go is marketed as the most powerful go robot, complete with analysis and training support—one platform, several classic board games.

The SenseRobot Chess and Go versions are priced at $899 as part of an IFA 2025 promotion.
