Honor is gearing up for a new X80 smartphone, and a key feature has already been confirmed by certification in China: the device is set to carry a massive 10,000 mAh battery. A listing in the China Quality Certification (CQC) database under certificate number 2025010915830460 points to an imminent launch—these filings tend to appear shortly before an official announcement.
The capacity marks a clear jump from the Honor X70, which packed 8,300 mAh and became known for its standout battery life. If the company can keep dimensions and heat in check, the X80 could end up among the longest-lasting phones in its class—especially for those who game a lot, watch plenty of video, and stay connected all day.
The certification also confirms 5G support, while the rest of the specs are still under wraps: neither the processor nor the screen details are disclosed. Even so, early chatter points to a performance-first approach with possible upgrades for mobile gaming—hinting that Honor is doubling down on endurance, with battery life taking priority.
