ASUS has unveiled a striking addition to its lineup — the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 Dhahab Edition. The card is already available in Dubai with a price tag of around $2,589. While the cost is undeniably steep, it is positioned as the «accessible» choice when set against its high-end sibling, the RTX 5090 Dhahab. That flagship model carries an official price north of $9,200 and can fetch up to $12,000 on the secondary market.
The Dhahab Edition is produced exclusively for the Middle East, its name meaning «gold» in Arabic. ASUS has taken the term quite literally: each card is adorned with a 24-karat gold coating weighing 6.5 grams. The golden finish is paired with intricate decorative motifs inspired by Arabic design and paired with the Astral cooling system, turning the GPU into both a performance powerhouse and a collector’s item.
A curious detail emerges in local retail: at Microless, the RTX 5080 Dhahab sells for nearly double the price of a standard RTX 5080. Yet, in comparison with the ultra-luxury RTX 5090 Dhahab, it comes across as the more «budget-friendly» option. With this special Astral series, ASUS has created a product line that merges cutting-edge performance with exclusivity and luxury, reinforcing its role as a statement piece as much as a gaming tool.
