Motorola appears ready to step beyond its Razr clamshells and join the ranks of book-style foldables. The hint comes from an unexpected place: the company’s corporate holiday box. Android Headlines journalist Alex Maxham showed that it included a wooden notebook stating that every fold reveals a possibility, alongside a card inviting recipients to Lenovo Tech World on January 6, 2026, with a promise to open up new perspectives.
Taken together, the wording leaves little room for doubt: Motorola is preparing a book-style foldable rather than another Razr refresh. With the Razr 70 family not expected until mid-2026, the forthcoming announcement looks set to occupy its own slot in the brand’s premium lineup. Unofficially, the device is already being referred to as Motorola Fold.
At the same time, the company is stoking interest in its next flat flagship, tentatively called Edge 70 Ultra. The name hasn’t been confirmed, but the phone is being linked to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a logical step after last year’s Edge 50 Ultra with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. If both devices arrive as described, Motorola seems intent on strengthening its position at the top end across two distinct form factors.
A foldable Motorola Fold would place the brand alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and the forthcoming Pixel 10 Pro Fold, while giving users another option for a big pocketable screen suited to multitasking and entertainment. By tying the teaser to Lenovo Tech World, the company signals a desire for a high-profile reveal. With January 6 approaching, the real intrigue is how boldly Motorola will reinterpret the book-style format in its first large foldable flagship.
