OPPO Pad Air 5 launch confirmed: specs, design, and what to expect

OPPO has officially set December 25 for the debut of the OPPO Pad Air 5. In the run-up, the company has already shown off the design and shared several key specs — a move that signals plenty of confidence in the device.

The tablet is slated to feature a 2.8K display. While the exact panel details remain under wraps, image sharpness is expected to be close to QHD+. Power comes from a sizable 10,050 mAh battery, and judging by the official images, the chassis looks thin and light. The lineup will include Wi‑Fi and 5G versions, plus three memory options: 8/128 GB, 8/256 GB, and 12/256 GB.

The newcomer will ship in two colorways — Starlight Pink and Space Grey. OPPO is clearly leaning into the pink finish, while the classic grey caters to those who prefer a more understated look. Pre-orders have already opened in China, sweetened with a bundled case and stylus.

Insiders suggest the OPPO Pad Air 5 could be a rebadged OnePlus Pad Go 2. If that proves accurate, expect a 12.1-inch LCD with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chip, and 33 W fast charging.

Also anticipated are 8 MP cameras on both the front and back, a quad-speaker setup, and face unlock. Positioned as the successor to the 2023 Pad Air 2, the Pad Air 5 looks set to continue OPPO’s strategy of offering large-screen, well-balanced tablets at accessible prices — a steady formula that should appeal to buyers who value practicality.
