With the flagship POCO F8 lineup now out, Xiaomi is turning its sights to a more budget-friendly wave. A fresh leak points to the POCO M8 and POCO M8 Pro heading for a global debut in January. Insider Yogesh Brar indicates the rollout is planned to be simultaneous across most markets.
The standard POCO M8 is expected to feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Power is reportedly handled by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. The camera setup includes a 50 MP main sensor and a 20 MP front unit, while a 5520 mAh battery with 45 W fast charging keeps it running. Taken together, the package closely resembles the global Redmi Note 15—and looks like a balanced take on the mid-range brief.
The POCO M8 Pro aims higher. It’s tipped to ship with a 6.83-inch OLED screen at 1.5K and 120 Hz, a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, a 50 MP main camera, and a 32 MP selfie module. One standout is the 6500 mAh battery paired with 100 W charging, a combination that promises both endurance and quick top-ups uncommon at this price point.
As for timing, the global launch is slated for January, while India may see the devices later—reportedly in February, starting with the Pro. Official pricing and memory configurations remain under wraps, so the final positioning is still to be confirmed.
If the leak pans out, the POCO M8 series could rank among the most compelling mid-range options in early 2026. High-refresh OLED screens, current Snapdragon processors, and a clear emphasis on battery life give the lineup the makings of a crowd-pleaser in its class.
