Samsung One UI 8.5 Beta 2 (ZYLH): bug fixes and stability upgrades

Samsung is preparing the second One UI 8.5 beta, build ZYLH. While the firmware hasn’t reached users yet, its changelog has surfaced online via blogger Tarun Vats. This round is squarely about polish, prioritizing system stability and everyday bug fixes over headline features.

Developers tackled glitches that could leave the Quick Settings panel initializing incorrectly at boot, and they corrected spacing and placement of icons in the toggles menu. Gallery behavior also gets a tune-up: photos grouped into folders will no longer randomly jump to the first page of Albums.

Call reliability sees improvements as well. Samsung eliminated interface stutter when tapping the More menu during a call, resolved audio issues when using Bluetooth with in-car systems, and fixed cases where the volume up button failed to respond. The update also addresses those rare but maddening spontaneous reboots.

Beyond that, Samsung worked on overall system stability. One UI 8.5 Beta 2 reduces instances where several third-party apps could be forced to close and adds further stabilization through updates to built-in components. The beta with these fixes is expected to roll out soon, positioning One UI 8.5 for a steadier final release—a sensible emphasis on refinement at this stage of the beta.
