ASUS teases ProArt GoPro Edition laptop for action-cam creators

ASUS is preparing to show an unusual laptop for content creators — the ProArt GoPro Edition — which will be officially unveiled at CES 2026. The company says the newcomer will appear during its January 6 livestream, but for now it has limited itself to teasers and the product name, without disclosing any technical specifications.

Judging by ASUS’s materials, the ProArt GoPro Edition targets a niche yet expanding group of video makers who work extensively with action cameras and mobile footage. The teasers emphasize its connection to the GoPro ecosystem, and the device is framed as a tool for rapid viewing, curation, and editing of captured material while on the move. The hardware platform remains under wraps, so it’s not clear whether the laptop will be built on Intel, AMD, or Qualcomm processors.

The new model fits into the already announced ASUS–GoPro partnership, whose centerpiece is the StoryCube program. It integrates with GoPro Cloud, supports 360-degree video, lets users browse local and online files, and employs AI to automatically sort content by time, device, and GPS data. ASUS positions StoryCube as a central hub for selecting and importing clips into professional video editors.

ASUS is also promoting joint offers with GoPro for laptop buyers. Some ProArt models qualify for up to six months of GoPro Premium+, while Zenbook and Vivobook devices get up to three months, along with a discount coupon for GoPro products. The offer runs from October 2025 to December 2027, depending on the region, and ProArt GoPro Edition is expected to be part of this program.

The full reveal at CES 2026 should clarify how deeply ASUS has woven GoPro’s hardware and software capabilities into the laptop. From the way the device is presented, the company is clearly betting on a specialized tool for vloggers and creators, where speed in handling footage outweighs all-purpose flexibility — a pragmatic focus for a segment that prizes fast turnaround above everything else.
