Realme Neo 8 leaks: January 2026 launch in China, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and 8,000 mAh battery

The Realme Neo 8 has surfaced again in leaks, and this time leaker Digital Chat Station pointed to its launch window. According to their information, the device will be unveiled in China in January 2026. That timeline would continue Realme’s habit of starting the year with performance-oriented releases built around powerful hardware.

Early details indicate a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 at its core—one of the most capable chips of the new generation—effectively placing the phone in flagship territory on performance alone. The display is described as a flat Samsung LTPS AMOLED with 1.5K resolution and an integrated ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The phone is said to run Android 16 with Realme UI 7.

One standout spec is an approximately 8,000 mAh battery—a notable step forward even by 2026 standards. Rumors also point to a metal frame, a glass back, and IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.

If the specs hold, the Realme Neo 8 will square up against the OnePlus Ace 6T, Moto X70 Ultra, and iQOO Z11 Turbo, all slated for the first half of 2026. The focus for this group is clear: high performance and premium touches without a top-tier price.

Reports suggest the Neo 8 family won’t be limited to a single model. The lineup may include a Neo 8 Turbo, a Neo 8 SE based on the Dimensity 8500, and a Neo 8x, with launches expected in the first half of 2026—allowing Realme to span several price segments.
