Aoostar AG03 external GPU dock adds USB4 v2, Thunderbolt 5, OCuLink and 140W PD

Aoostar has officially introduced a new version of its external graphics dock, the Aoostar AG03. The device follows the AG02 and brings a substantial upgrade to its connectivity, targeting high bandwidth and modern laptops.

The headline change is the addition of two USB4 v2 / Thunderbolt 5 ports with data rates up to 80 Gbps. One of them supports power delivery up to 140 W, which makes the dock convenient for gaming laptops and portable PCs. The second port is rated for up to 27 W. There’s also an OCuLink interface, increasingly used in eGPU setups for its minimal latency.

The graphics card slots into a PCIe 4.0 x4 slot (physical x16). An integrated 800 W power supply can deliver up to 500 W directly to the GPU. That’s lower than the previous model, which supported up to 600 W, but the company chose this trade-off to accommodate the new USB4 v2 connectivity—a decision that clearly prioritizes bandwidth and modern ports.

On the outside, the AG03 is almost unchanged from its predecessor and still doesn’t include an M.2 slot for storage. Even so, one of the Thunderbolt 5 ports can be used to connect an external SSD, which partly offsets that omission.

In China, the Aoostar AG03 is already on sale for 1,499 yuan (around 213 US dollars). There’s no information yet about a global release, but given the growing interest in high-throughput eGPU solutions, an international launch seems likely.
